Tanya Saraiya
Tanya Saraiya is clinical psychologist and NIDA T32 postdoctoral fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC where her research focuses on enhancing treatments for trauma and addiction. She was a TRACC fellow from 2015-2018 where her pilot proposal focused on shame, trauma, and substance use among Asian Americans. Tanya’s pilot project was published in 2019 and can be found here. Recently, she received an internal mentored K12 grant at MUSC. Her K12 project focuses on refining a psychotherapy (COPE; Back et al., 2015) to attend to the needs of women with opioid use disorders and co-occurring trauma histories and posttraumatic stress disorder.
