Sonali Singal
Sonali Singal is a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. student at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. Her past research includes serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator on a NIDA-funded randomized controlled trial examining a combined psychophysiology and CBT treatment for individuals who smoke cigarettes with elevated anxiety or depression. Through TRACC, Sonali is working with Dr. Tanya Saraiya on a NIDA-funded clinical trial examining a new intervention for individuals with co-morbid opioid use disorder and PTSD. Sonali is excited to be able to explore the intersection of substance use and trauma among racially and ethnically minorized groups during her time at TRACC, with a goal of contributing to more culturally adaptive treatments.
