Jean Fleuriscar

Jean Fleuriscar is currently a student in The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/CUNY School of Medicine. His pursuit of medicine stems from my fascination with the duality that the medical field provides. This curiosity persuaded Jean to learn about the intricacies of the human body. Moreover, his desire to help others is attracted to the service and humanitarian aspect of being a physician. His  interest in addiction research stems from a similar desire. He finds the different facets of addiction and treatment fascinating and essential for understanding, and dealing with, the issue at hand. He also believes that research manifests as a service to humanity, which motivates him even further. At TRACC, he was involved with the Substance Treatment and Research Service of Columbia University under the mentorship of Dr. Adam Bisaga—through TRACC—looking at various new and innovative ways approach addiction.
