Benjamin Gay

Benjamin Gay is a TRACC Scholar working under Dr. Teresa Lopez Castro. He recently received his Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences from CUNY City College of New York and is now attending medical school at the Sophie Davis: CUNY School of Medicine.  He has joined Dr. Lopez-Castro, an assistant professor in the Psychology Department at City College of New York, in her work identifying the correlation between opioid use disorders and PTSD in syringe service participants. He plans to pursue a specialty in internal medicine and  hopes to use his time within the TRACC fellowship examining behaviors that lead to addiction, and behaviors that promote wellness in in-patient and out-patient settings.
