Teresa Lopez-Castro, PhD
Dr. Lopez-Castro is an assistant professor in the Psychology Department of The City College of New York and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Lopez-Castro is interested in the mechanisms which connect traumatic stress to substance misuse. Her research spans lab-based projects that examine how traumatic stress changes how we relate to others to treatment-oriented research in collaboration with harm reduction agencies. She is currently studying how evidence-based interventions can be tailored and effectively delivered to people who use drugs.
